How I work

My approach is integrative and I work in a client-led way.

I combine the relational and humanistic principles of person-centred therapy with a psychodynamic approach to exploring the role that the past and the unconscious play in shaping current behaviours. In this way, I will support you to recognise your drivers, patterns and what is at the root of what has brought you to therapy.

I believe that awareness of both our strengths and our areas of vulnerability brings empowerment and healing, and this is what I aim to achieve with all my clients.

We will work at your pace, and I will accompany you on your therapeutic journey with understanding, acceptance and empathy. Where appropriate I may bring my coaching skills into our work together. Sometimes I may challenge you but always with kindness and compassion.

I offer either short term counselling or open-ended therapy for more in-depth work. Sessions can be in-person or online.

I am a registered member of the BACP and work within their ethical standards.
